About the Organisation Our client is a reputable and customer-focused housing provider, responsible for managing and maintaining a diverse portfolio of homes. Who's priority is ensuring properties are safe, compliant, and ready to let, while delivering a responsive repairs service residents can rely on. Elevate projects are now working in partnership with them to appoint an experienced Repairs Surveyor to support our responsive repairs and voids service. The Role As a Repairs Surveyor specialising in responsive repairs and voids, you will take ownership of property inspections, diagnosis of building defects, and specification of works to ensure homes are maintained to a high standard and void properties are turned around efficiently and safely. You will work closely with residents, lettings teams, contractors, and internal colleagues to minimise downtime, control costs, and deliver a high-quality customer experience. Key Responsibilities Carry out pre- and post-inspections for responsive repairs and void properties Diagnose building defects and determine appropriate remedial actions Specify and authorise works to support fast and effective void turnaround Prepare schedules of work and cost estimates in line with budgetary controls Monitor contractor performance, quality of workmanship, and health & safety compliance Carry out site inspections to ensure works are completed to specification and timescales Support the resolution of complex repairs issues, complaints, and technical queries Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, including gas, electrical, fire, and asbestos safety About You You will be a practical and solutions-focused surveyor with a strong understanding of housing repairs and voids management. Essential: Proven experience as a Surveyor within responsive repairs and/or voids in a housing or property environment Strong technical knowledge of residential building construction, defects, and repair methods Experience managing and inspecting contractor-delivered works Ability to balance quality, cost control, and turnaround times Excellent communication skills and a customer-first approach Full UK driving licence
