We are recruiting for an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor on a permanent basis working in Somerset. This role will be working primarily on maintenance and cyclical contracts, and will be to oversee the commercial aspect of multiple jobs simultaneously, and will include both pricing of new work and Quantity Surveying duties. Duties will include; undertake site surveys to measure jobs, pricing of works often using a schedule of rates, full quantity surveying duties including CVR's, sub contractor invoicing, final accounts, ensuring that jobs are running in a profitable manner. Candidates should have experience working as an Assistant QS or Intermediate Quantity Surveyor preferably on maintenance contracts. We have an excellent opportunity for a chartered Building Surveyor to work on Disrepair projects in London. This is self-employed work outside of IR35 and is paid at £400 p/survey on completion of the expert witness report. Undertake comprehensive building surveys of disrepair claims and the production of detailed expert witness reports for use in the legal process. Self-employed work, so this provides the opportunity for part-time or full-time. It is essential that candidates are MRICS qualified with 5 years + PQE. Candidates should be an experienced Building Surveyor, with a range of experience, familiar with writing specifications and supervising contractors. Should be educated to at least HNC-level. An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Tenancy Management professional to join their busy Housing team on a temporary basis whilst further options are explored. You will assist the Housing team by working a varied caseload of tenancy management queries, including lettings, voids, arrears, whilst providing a strong customer focused service.
Our client is a West London based RICS Property Consultancy with a Building Surveying team, but also have a significant block management business, chartered surveyors, lettings and management, commercial management departments. Ideally the candidate should have some Building Surveying experience, however they don’t have to be fully RICS qualified.
