Elevate projects are working in partnership with our valued client, who having secured a standalone budget have asked us to support with approaching and appointing an IFE Fire Safety lead to take their list of compliance issues, priorities them and create works packages for a small team to deliver the project works that come out of this. This will include compartmentation, fire doors, alarms, escape routes and will require good working knowledge of Part B and BS9999. The Deputy Director is focused on improving compliance on fire specific risks cross the mixed property portfolio and wants to create a new dedicated team to do this, comprising of the Lead, and 3 project managers. Key Objectives Review and interrogate the existing fire safety compliance register and outstanding actions. Risk-assess and prioritise issues across the estate in line with statutory obligations and life-safety risk. Develop clear, deliverable works packages covering remediation and improvement projects. Establish a structured delivery plan for a dedicated fire compliance team. Provide technical leadership and subject matter expertise in fire safety engineering and compliance. Scope of Works The role will encompass (but not be limited to): Compartmentation – intrusive surveys, remediation strategy, specification of fire stopping works. Fire doors – inspection regimes, remedial works, replacement specifications, certification requirements. Fire alarm systems – compliance review, upgrade requirements, integration considerations. Means of escape – assessment of escape routes, signage, travel distances, emergency lighting interface. General passive and active fire protection compliance across academic, residential and specialist buildings. Technical Requirements The successful candidate must demonstrate: Membership of the Institution of Fire Engineers Strong working knowledge of: Building Regulations Part B BS 9999 Experience working within complex, multi-building estates (university, healthcare or public sector preferred). Ability to interpret fire risk assessments and translate findings into deliverable project scopes. Experience packaging compliance works into defined project briefs suitable for delivery by project managers and contractors. Understanding of procurement, contractor management and quality assurance processes. Ability to balance technical compliance with operational and budgetary constraints. Key Responsibilities Prioritise fire safety compliance risks using a clear, auditable methodology. Develop costed and sequenced works packages. Create technical specifications and scopes of work. Support procurement and contractor selection where required. Oversee and technically assure works delivered by the three Project Managers. Report progress, risks and strategic recommendations to the Deputy Director. Contribute to establishing governance, reporting and performance metrics for the new fire compliance team. Deliverables A fully prioritised and risk-ranked fire compliance programme. Structured works packages ready for procurement/delivery. Programme roadmap with phasing and budget guidance. Technical standards framework for ongoing fire compliance. Monthly reporting dashboard for senior leadership.

The Role Elevate projects are working in partnership with our client, a registered affordable housing provider, in appointing an experienced Compliance Programme Manager to establish, mobilise and lead a comprehensive Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) compliance programme within Property Services. This is a key contract role responsible for ensuring statutory electrical compliance across a large and varied housing portfolio, delivering the programme using a mixed delivery model of Direct Labour Organisation (DLO) and specialist sub-contractors. The postholder will be responsible for setting up governance, controls, reporting, delivery plans and assurance processes, then driving performance to achieve and maintain 100% compliance. Key Responsibilities Set up and mobilise an end-to-end EICR compliance programme from inception Develop and implement programme plans, milestones, budgets and risk controls Manage delivery through a blend of DLO resources and external contractors Establish robust compliance processes, procedures and audit trails Ensure all works meet statutory requirements, industry standards and internal policies Monitor performance, productivity, quality and cost across all delivery partners Manage contractor performance, KPIs, commercial arrangements and variations Provide clear reporting, dashboards and assurance to senior stakeholders Identify and mitigate risks, including access, data quality and capacity constraints Support wider Property Services Compliance objectives and continuous improvement Essential Experience & Skills Proven experience delivering large-scale compliance programmes within housing or property services Strong working knowledge of EICR, electrical safety legislation and compliance frameworks Experience managing programmes using both DLO and subcontractor delivery models Excellent programme management, mobilisation and stakeholder engagement skills Strong commercial awareness and contractor management capability Ability to work autonomously and deliver at pace in a complex operational environment
We have an excellent opportunity for a chartered Building Surveyor to work on Disrepair projects in London & the South East. This is self-employed work outside of IR35 and is paid on completion of the expert witness report. Undertake comprehensive building surveys of disrepair claims and the production of detailed expert witness reports for use in the legal process. Self-employed work, so this provides the opportunity for part-time or full-time. It is essential that candidates are MRICS qualified with 3 years + PQE. About the Role: As a Building Surveyor, you will manage complaints received as legal claims (Housing Condition Claims) in close partnership with our legal services team. You’ll lead investigations, coordinate repairs, and work collaboratively with trade teams and contractors to resolve issues efficiently and effectively. Your work will contribute to minimising litigation while delivering a cost-effective, high-quality service that meets and exceeds customer expectations. Key Responsibilities: Conduct thorough property inspections in response to legal claims. Oversee and coordinate all required repairs from inception to completion. Monitor and ensure the quality of work carried out by internal trade teams and external contractors. Communicate clearly with tenants, providing them with detailed case reports and updates. Deliver high levels of customer satisfaction while operating within budgetary constraints. Identify and implement solutions through both internal complaints procedures and, where necessary, within the legal framework.
