We have an excellent opportunity for a chartered Building Surveyor to work on Disrepair projects in London & the South East. This is self-employed work outside of IR35 and is paid on completion of the expert witness report. Undertake comprehensive building surveys of disrepair claims and the production of detailed expert witness reports for use in the legal process. Self-employed work, so this provides the opportunity for part-time or full-time. It is essential that candidates are MRICS qualified with 3 years + PQE. Key Responsibilities: Conduct thorough property inspections in response to legal claims. Oversee and coordinate all required repairs from inception to completion. Monitor and ensure the quality of work carried out by internal trade teams and external contractors. Communicate clearly with tenants, providing them with detailed case reports and updates. Deliver high levels of customer satisfaction while operating within budgetary constraints. Identify and implement solutions through both internal complaints procedures and, where necessary, within the legal framework. Promote a customer-first approach, managing expectations and resolving disputes amicably and effectively. What We’re Looking For: Strong technical knowledge of building maintenance and repairs.
